У БРАЗИЛІЇ ЗНАЙШЛИ НОВИЙ ВИД ГРИЗУНІВ

В одному з національних парків Ріо-де-Жанейро знайшли новий вид ссавців - мініатюрну мишу, яка живе у кронах дерев і живиться рослинною їжею. Відкриття було зроблене в природоохоронній зоні у районі міста Макае на півночі штату.

Тварина, розміри якої не перевищують кількох сантиметрів, отримала латинську назву Сеггасіотуз §оуіаса на честь племені індіанців-койтаказів, що жило у цьому районі Бразилії до приходу європейців та у перші століття португальської колонізації.

Перші представники нового виду відправлені на дослідження. Ученим належить встановити їхнє походження, а також вивчити екологію довкілля та особливості поведінки.

Нагадаємо, на початку7 травня в Камбоджі виявили новий не відомий раніше вид ящірок, у яких немає кінцівок і очей.
